About me:
This Spring I will be working hard and getting settled into my first apartment but in another five years I will be happy, healthy and either pregnant or getting married.
If I could turn back time
I would tell my 17-year-old self, "Don't take everything so seriously. You only have one life - make it count."
Life lessons
The most important thing I learned at college was to have more confidence in myself and my skills.
My favourite instructors
It's impossible to narrow it down to just one. Sheena Graves, Janet Schreier, and Wilma McCrossan were all so helpful in so many different ways. Combined, they helped me to complete this program with great success.
On a scale of 1 to 10
Leaving school is definitely a 10 - I can't wait to start my new life!
The logical choice
I have always been interested in health and wellness because I know that there is so much we can do to protect ourselves from illness. I find it very rewarding to research and gain knowledge regarding disease prevention. I wanted to get into health care without going to school for more than two years. The Office Administration - Medical Office Assistant Program had a good reputation and was closest to home.
The tough times
The hardest thing about college was having homework every day.
The highlights
The best moments were sharing laughing fits with my three good friends. I actually took the program with my best friend, so it was nice to have her with me throughout the whole experience. I knew another friend from high school and the third girl is someone I met in the program and we remain in contact. Having supportive friends really helped me during school, with homework, studying and general interaction.
My advice to fellow grads
Never lose faith in yourself, because in the end you are all you've got.
