Douglas College is a "no smoking" facility.

Procedures/Rules Statement

1. Smoking is permitted in areas exterior to the buildings, as follows:

New Westminster Campus:


• Level 0 - 0600 (away from Centre for Education and Information Technology (CEIT) Entrances)
• Level II - West Concourse Entrance
• Level IV - 10 metres or more from Theatre Foyer Entrance.

David Lam Campus:


• South East Ramp (in designated area)

2. Smoking is not permitted in any interior portion of the buildings.


3. In order to meet the needs of both smokers and non-smokers, the effectiveness of these smoking areas will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
