A Strategic Plan to 2015 and beyond
As our external environment continues to change dramatically, we need current, focused goals to rally and coordinate our energies so that Douglas College can thrive in the coming decade. Our 2010 - 2015 Strategic Plan identifies priority goals and activities for Douglas College in the medium to long term.
Our vision for Douglas College at 2015 is to be the largest and most progressive baccalaureate degree-granting college in British Columbia.
This website presents data and issues that are vital to our planning process and it will be updated regularly. In addition, the President's blog gives all College employees an opportunity to contribute electronically to an open discussion.

Planning for growth - the Program Development and Implementation Funding Envelope
Douglas College is poised for growth. We will expand our learning opportunities while improving our learner pathways.
The Program Development and Implementation Funding Envelope (PDIFE) has been created to facilitate this growth. This innovative funding strategy supports the creation of new, credit programs as well as the expansion of existing programs. It provides the financial resources required to take promising ideas through the stages of development and implementation.
Strategic priorities for Fiscal Year 2011/12
Since the release of the Douglas College Strategic Plan, a number of initiatives have been undertaken to begin to realize our ambititious goals. Overall, there has been significant engagement with the Strategic Plan and the directions of the College.
In 2011/12, our overarching strategic priorities are:
1. FTE growth in credit programs
2. The development of new programs
3. The development of learner pathways
4. The provision of support to achieve these objectives
