"User Friendly" Installation
Instructions (Win 95 and up)
- Copy Reader onto your hard drive by clicking "Get Acrobat Reader" above.
- Should you encounter a warning alert just ensure that the "Save to disk" radio button is selected.
- After the file has been saved to disk, click Windows "Start" button and go to "Run..."
- Browse to the location of the downloaded file (the file is called ar302.exe).
- Select the file in the dialogue box and click "Open".
- Click OK. Reader will begin to setup an Install Wizard that will guide you through the entire installation process. This is easy and takes only a few moments. Once you have installed Reader you can access any PDF document. You will only need to install this application once or until a new version is available from Adobe.
- If there is a failure at any point during the installation of Acrobat Reader, the installer performs a complete uninstall. For this reason, it is important not to close the installer application by clicking its close box in the upper right corner of the background window after clicking the "Thank You" dialog box that appears at the end of the installation. If you wait for a second or two, the installer will automatically close the background windows after the installation is complete.
