Douglas College offers many services, including important support services to help you make choices and prepare for College. This page covers just a few of the services available at Douglas College. For an introduction to the full range of Douglas College student services, go to the Student Survival Guide.

Parking

Parking Passes (semester-long parking)

You must be registered in at least 6 credits and paid in full to purchase a parking pass.

There are a limited number of passes and they are first come, first served. Passes are usually sold out before classes begin.

Parking passes are only valid for the semester for which they were purchased.

Purchase your parking pass at the Cashier's office at the New Westminster campus and at the Bookstore at the David Lam campus.

Hourly Parking

There is limited hourly parking in the main parking garage of the New Westminster Campus and at the David Lam Campus in Coquitlam.

There is a 50% discount for hourly parking for students who show the parking attendant a Douglas College student card.

The Bookstore

The Bookstores at the New Westminster Campus and the Coquitlam Campus carry textbooks for all courses at Douglas College. The stores have a large selection of used books and supplementary reading material, competitively priced school supplies, calculators, backpacks, gifts and clothing. Book lists will be available in the stores and on the web by November 20, 2009.

Visa and MasterCard, as well as INTERAC, cash, or personalized cheques (accompanied by Douglas College Student ID) are accepted for purchases at both locations.

Students who are sponsored for their Bookstore purchases (through a scholarship, Government Ministry, an employer, or other sponsoring agency) should contact the Finance Office before the start of the semester to confirm the sponsor has faxed a copy of the agreement (specifying dollar amounts and restrictions).  Contact the Finance Department at 604-527-5095 prior to December 4, 2009.
