Engaging in Research Activity

This section is organized around the steps in the research process. In some sections, you will find links to other sections of this website, in others, you will find external links unique to the topic. Look here too for tutorials related to aspects of the research process.

The University of Reading has a very good comprehensive site to support its researchers. Although it was constructed specifically for Bioscience students, it is very useful for researchers in other fields. Each section includes tutorials and quizzes. You will find links to the relevant content on the site in the sections  in this part of our website.

The tutorial on Ethics below is an example of the kinds of resources we intend to have here.
Tri- Council Tutorial on Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans policy
The Interagency Advisory Panel on Research Ethics (PRE) has recently developed an on-line introductory tutorial on the TCPS (Tri-Council Policy Statement).  It is self-administered and publically available via PRE’s website.
