2010 - 2011

Class start and end dates may differ for students enrolled in limited enrolment programs. Please confirm dates with the appropriate program office.

Any changes in the Proposed Calendar of Events will be announced in the Inside, the Registration Guide, on the WEB

SUMMER SEMESTER 2010 (MAY - AUGUST)

Withdrawal and refund deadline dates only apply to courses that are 15 weeks in length (comprising instruction and final exams). Course deadline dates, where the course is less than a full semester in length will be pro-rated. Some courses of less than 15 weeks are not eligible for any refund. (See Refund Schedule).

Apply for bursaries administered by Douglas College for Summer semester only.

Deadline for Douglas College entrance scholarship applications for 2010-2011.

Deadline for application for graduation awards for February and June Graduations.

Mid-semester – students may obtain mid-semester standing from instructors during this week in order to make decisions about dropping courses by the deadline below.

College closed – Canada Day.

July 2

Deadline for students placed on academic probation from the Winter semester to meet with a Counsellor.
Students who do not meet with a Counsellor by this date will be unable to access their records or register for future semesters.

July 11

Last day to drop a course or completely withdraw from the College (Students will receive a "W" on permanent record).

July 15-Sept 18

Applications and reapplications for Fall Semester and all documents for General Admission programs must be submitted in-person only.

Recommended deadline for applicants submitting foreign documents. Documents submitted after this date will be processed but students are advised to obtain pre-requisite waivers for courses in which they intend to enrol for Winter 2011.
