Class start and end dates may differ for students enrolled in limited enrolment programs. Please confirm dates with the appropriate program office.

SUMMER SEMESTER 2010 (MAY - AUGUST) Withdrawal and refund deadline dates only apply to courses that are 15 weeks in length (comprising instruction and final exams). Course deadline dates, where the course is less than a full semester in length will be pro-rated. Some courses of less than 15 weeks are not eligible for any refund. (See Refund Schedule).
May 1	Apply for bursaries administered by Douglas College for Summer semester only.
May 1	Deadline for Douglas College entrance scholarship applications for 2010-2011.
May 1	Deadline for application for graduation awards for February and June Graduations.
May 1	Deadline for nominations for George Wootton Scholarship. See Graduation Award listing for further information.
May 1-July 15	Applications or reapplications for Fall for General Admission programs will be processed but students will receive a late registration appointment time.
May 10	All classes begin. Late Registration begins.
May 10-23	Refunds for course drops during this period is 43% per credit.
May 21	Last day to change from credit to audit status in a course.
May 23	Last day to drop a course without receiving a "W" on record (subsequent withdrawals receive a grade of "W").
May 23	Last day to add a course.
May 24	College Closed - Victoria Day.
May 28	Registrar’s Office closed – all campuses
May 31	Deadline for submission of applications from International Students applying from overseas for the Fall Semester.
May 31	Deadline to apply for ABESAP funding for Summer Semester.
June 1	Deadline to apply for transfer credit to ensure credit has been recorded to meet course pre-requisites for Fall registration.
June 1	Deadline for Bursary applications administered by Douglas College for Summer Semester only.
June 1	Student Loan Applications for Fall available on-line at www.studentaidbc.ca
June 2 & 3	Summer Graduation Ceremonies.
June 15	Deadline for submission of applications from International Students applying from within Canada for the Fall Semester.
June 15	Deadline for submission of applications from International Students who are citizens of the United States for the Fall Semester.
June 15	Deadline to apply for Part-time Grant funding for Summer Semester.
June 21 to 26	Mid-semester – students may obtain mid-semester standing from instructors during this week in order to make decisions about dropping courses by the deadline below.
July 1	College closed – Canada Day.
July 2	Deadline for students placed on academic probation from the Winter semester to meet with a Counsellor. Students who do not meet with a Counsellor by this date will be unable to access their records or register for future semesters.
July 11	Last day to drop a course or completely withdraw from the College (Students will receive a "W" on permanent record).
July 15-Sept 18	Applications and reapplications for Fall Semester and all documents for General Admission programs must be submitted in-person only. Applicants applying or reapplying during this period will receive a registration time in the last priority time slots or later.
July 22-Aug 6	Registration - Fall Semester – by College priority.
Aug 2	College closed - BC Day.
Aug 9	Returning International Students - Deadline to pay tuition fees for Fall Semester
Aug 11	Last day of classes.
Aug 13 – 21	Examination Period
Aug 16	Deadline to pay tuition fees for Fall semester. (Domestic students)
Aug 18	Grades due for classes without a final exam.
Aug 25	Grades due for classes with a final exam.
Aug 27	Deadline for new first-semester International Students to withdraw from 2010 Fall semester and receive a 50% refund.
