Career/Further Educational Opportunities
Refer to the British Columbia Transfer Guide (www.bctransferguide.ca) for individual course transfer.
Location
First- and second-semester courses are offered at both the New Westminster and David Lam Campuses. Third-and fourth-semester courses are generally offered only at New Westminster.
Intake Dates/Application Deadlines
**Application deadlines may be extended.
Since this is an open enrolment program, students may begin classes in September, January and May. The
recommended deadline to apply for all open enrolment programs is three months prior to the intake
commencement. However, applications will continue to be accepted up to one month prior to the intake.
Official deadlines to apply for all intakes are one month prior to the intake commencement. To improve
your opportunities at registration, it is strongly advised that you apply as early as possible, but not
more than one year in advance of the intake. Students who apply after the recommended deadline may find
they cannot register in their desired course(s) because either the course is full or the student does not
have the necessary prerequisites for the course.
Prerequisite Compliance
Students who are requesting transfer credit from other institutions or submitting high school transcripts
from outside of BC to satisfy prerequisite compliance are required to apply and submit those documents no
later than three months in advance of the intake.
Admission Requirements
- Douglas College general admission requirements apply to this program.
- Students with work experience may also be considered.
- Given that both Principles of Mathematics 11 with a minimum grade of "C" and Academic English 12 with a minimum grade of "C" are prerequisites to many courses offered in the Accounting Management program, applicants should complete both prior to beginning the program.
Program Duration
This 30-credit certificate program is intended for part-time students and is scheduled accordingly. Therefore, it will take a total of four semesters as a part-time student to complete this certificate program.
