Customer Service and Cashier Training

The Customer Service and Cashier Training Program is designed for students with barriers to employment. This program has been designed in partnerships with the retail business and hospitality sectors and includes classroom, lab and practicum components. The CSCT program covers all the required skills to prepare students for employment in various positions in the realm of customer service, hospitality, merchandising and cashiering.

Career/Further Educational Opportunities

During the program, students receive job-site practicum experience and support into employment through 604-527-JOBS. Practicum sites are available through a variety of companies that provide further training opportunities in relevant industries throughout the Lower Mainland.

The Customer Service and Cashier Training Program is offered in the Fall and Winter semesters. To improve your opportunities at registration, it is strongly recommended that you apply as soon as possible. Enrolment is limited.

Although application and document deadlines may be identified for this program, we encourage all applicants to apply early and to submit all supporting documentation as early as possible. Those applicants who apply early and submit all documents early may be offered early admission.

Admission Requirements

A preliminary interview with the instructor is required for acceptance into the program. To determine eligibility and for more program information and admission requirements, call 604-777-6164.

Program Duration

This program is one semester in duration and is offered on a full-time basis five days per week for 14 weeks.

Credentials

Students will receive a Customer Service Certificate (Super Host), Pos Cashiering Certificate, WHMIS Certificate and a Citation.
