We live in an astoundingly beautiful and intricate natural world. To fully appreciate it, one requires a fundamental understanding of science and mathematics. Consequently, the Faculty of Science and Technology is dedicated to providing students with the intellectual and physical stimuli needed for a lifelong commitment to the preservation and understanding of the environment in which they live. To accomplish this, we offer a wide range of preparatory, university transfer, degree, diploma and interdisciplinary courses and programs in the areas of science, mathematics, sport science and animal health technology. It is our goal to graduate students who are scientifically literate, numerate, and who have an appreciation of the importance of physical activity. The Faculty offers courses at both the New Westminster and David Lam campuses using well-equipped science labs, animal health facilities, gymnasiums, fitness assessment labs and computing laboratories.

There are a number of credentials offered in Science, Sport Science and Animal Health Technology, including degrees, associate degrees, diplomas and a post-degree diploma. An associate degree can increase your options and enrich your studies in a number of ways.

Both Simon Fraser University(SFU) and the University of Northern British Columbia grant priority admission to Associate Degree holders and all major BC universities (including SFU and the University of British Columbia) guarantee a full transfer of all 60 credits for work in your associate degree.

An important requirement of all of our credentials is the ability to be both literate and numerate. To get the maximum benefit from your courses and to graduate on time, we recommend that you successfully complete the mathematics portion of your program early in your studies.
