Stagecraft and Event Technology
The Stagecraft and Event Technology Program provides pre-employment training, upgrading and transferability for students interested in a career within the entertainment industry. The full-time program is designed to provide a combination of academic and practical experience with courses in: Stage Lighting, Audio Techniques, Set Painting, Computer Assisted Drafting, Multimedia Technology, Stage Management, Stagecraft for film/TV and History of Theatre.

Career/Further Educational Opportunities
The two-year Stagecraft and Event Technology Program prepares students for entry-level positions in the fields of theatrical production and the related performing and events industry. The program provides students with a range of fundamental, industry-specific skills which, upon completion, gives graduates a high degree of mobility within the entertainment industry.

The Stagecraft and Event Technology Program has a limited number of available seats with most courses limited to a maximum of
20 full-time and five part-time seats. Intake for the full-time program occurs every September.
Application deadline is August 1 for full-time students.
For part-time students the intake occurs every Fall and Winter semester. Application deadlines are August 1 for the Fall and December 1 for the Winter.

Admission Requirements
The College admits students on a first-qualified, first-admitted basis whereby students must satisfy all admissions criteria to establish eligibility and are then offered places by date of eligibility, except in programs that use selective admissions processes that rank order qualified applicants.

- Attend a Stagecraft group Information Session. Applicants unable to attend an information session must contact the Program Coordinator prior to the application deadline.
- Submit two letters of reference (non-family).
- Submit a Stagecraft and Event Technology Prospective Student Form (PDF).
Program Duration
The full-time Stagecraft & Event Technology Program is four semesters (two years) in length. It is an intensive program of study with courses offered throughout the day and evening, five days a week and often including weekends. Students seeking a less demanding schedule may choose part-time studies in courses better suited to their personal timetables and interests. Given the restricted number of available seats, it is recommended that students apply as early as possible.
Credentials
Upon successful completion of all program requirements, students will be eligible to apply for a Diploma in Performing Arts Stagecraft and Event Technology.
