Women's Studies and Gender Relations
Women's Studies and Gender Relations courses are part of the regular offering of the designated disciplines and may be used as part of the regular university degree program and as courses toward the Associate Degrees in Arts and in Science and the Diplomas in Arts and in Science.
An Associate Degree with a specialization in Women's Studies and Gender Relations is available for students who wish to concentrate on this area of studies. Please see the Associate of Arts Degree section of the Calendar.
Taken separately or in a package, these courses are offered for persons interested in
- developing an awareness of general concerns and of the contributions of women, both historic and current
- broadening their knowledge of the psychological, sociological, economic and other factors which contribute to men's and women's roles in contemporary society
- preparing for future study in this area
