    Chiropractor Services

    Full on-site Chiropractic services are available to all full-time students and athletes.

    Dr. Baloo obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in human biology from the University of Winnipeg before completing a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University (Minneapolis, Minnesota). Since 2000, he has served on the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board and continues to do so. For the past five years, he has been a member of Student Health Services at Douglas College in New Westminister. There, he treats a variety of patients ranging from students, faculty, athletes and employees.

  • Dr. Dossa

    Dr. Dossa has an active approach to treatment that involves manual therapy followed by progressive exercise prescription, in order to prevent future occurrence of injury and to keep your body functioning optimally.

    Dr. Dossa has a special interest in work-related strains, motor vehicle injuries, postural correction, and sports injury prevention and rehabilitation. He believes in an active approach to health and is a certified personal trainer and squash Canada coach.

    His professional experiences include working with numerous professional and amateur athletes such as the BC Breakers hockey team, internationally ranked gymnasts, squash, golf and track and field athletes. He is presently the Team Chiropractor for the Burnaby Eagles Australian Football Team and a treatment provider to the BC Lions Football Club .

    Dr. Dossa graduated (Cum Laude and clinical honours) from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University. Dr. Dossa excelled in his studies at SFU and CMCC, where he was recognized as a leader with numerous awards. He is also a fully certified Active Release Technique ® (ART) provider.

    Dr. Leila Sahabi, BSc, ND, received her undergraduate degree in Science and Psychology from the University of British Columbia and her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. She currently practices at the Richmond Alternative Medical Clinic Inc. in Richmond, BC, with special interest in women’s health and musculoskeletal problems. Dr. Sahabi often incorporates acupuncture, homeopathy, First Line Therapy ™, and Bowen therapy in her patient care.

    Dr. Aliya Kabani, Naturopathic Doctor, or as her patients like to call her, “Dr. Aliya”, has a vision of promoting health starting from the inside and traveling outward.     Gloria Cui

    Acupuncture and Healing Stone therapy now available

    Gloria is a Registered Acupuncturist in BC. She has a very good medical education background, solid knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She started her natural healing and wellness business in the beginning of 2007 with Self Employment Program at Douglas College.

    She specializes in injury recovery, rehabilitation, pain managements, chronic and some acute health conditions. She possesses a special ability to identify the problem areas or spots on patient’s body. It makes her treatment more effective.

    Gloria has graduated a one year and a half year upgrading diploma course in Acupuncture, and a one year upgrading diploma course in Herbalist from the Central College of Oriental Medicine, in B.C. This course accompanies her previous three year Advanced Study on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) – Beijing, where she received a graduating diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2002.

    She further spent an additional year acquiring a certificate in Healing Stone Therapy from the Association of Acupuncture & Moxibusion of China, Beijing, a certificate in Facial Beatification & Weight Loss (using acupuncture, herbs & Chinese massage) and a certificate in advanced studies of Acupuncture & Chinese Massage, both from the Training Centre of China Academy of TCM, Beijing, China, from 2002 to 2003. She got training in foot reflexology in Vancouver in 2007. Added to the above described academia, she worked in Beijing China in years 2002 – 2003 as a Practitioner of Acupuncture and Chinese massage as well as years 2005 – present; in the Greater Vancouver area.
