There is a Media Development Room (MDR) available for current students to use at each campus. Each room has three (3) video/audio stations for video and audio editing and podcasting as well as one graphics station equiped with graphics software, a scanner, and a printer.

How to book the MDR

Go to the CEIT service counter in room 3100 at the New Westminster campus or room B1250 at the David Lam Campus. There you will find a sign up calendar on the wall.

You may book a station for up to four hours at a time. If you do not arrive within the first 15 minutes of your start time, your station may be given to another user. Please note you may be required to show a valid student ID card.

Hour of Operation

Rooms are available during regular CEIT operating hours (8:30am-4:30pm). Outside these hours, go to the Security Kiosk in the concourse and ask to use the room. You will be asked to show valid student ID.

After Hours Access

Monday to Friday: 4:30pm to 9:30pm
Saturday: 8:30am to 5:30pm
Sunday: Closed

Need training or Support?

Training:Faculty can book a 1.5 hour orientation to video editing for their students. Support: User Guide. Note, the Media Development Rooms are for Douglas College projects only.
