Saturday, Oct 30 Masque Royale

6:30pm

New Westminster Campus

Presented by the Douglas College Foundation, the Masque Royale is not just another charity gala – it has its roots in 16th and 17th century Europe where the court frequently held masques (essentially big parties) in honour of a significant event. The black tie/costume event brings together more than 400 business, civic and community leaders from throughout the Lower Mainland to mix and mingle in a unique and exciting atmosphere featuring artists, circus performers and dancing in a tribute to the 40th anniversary of Douglas College and the Foundation’s 25th. Ticket price is $125.

For sponsorship and general information, please contact Alexis Smith at 604 777-6172 or by email.
Monday, Dec 13 Lance Ryan in Concert

7:30pm

New Westminster Campus

Lance Ryan is one of Europe's fastest-rising dramatic tenors. Twenty years ago Lance was a guitar student in the music program at Douglas College.  His mother suggested voice lessons to help him with the choral requirement, and the rest, as they say, is history.  Lance finished his Bachelor of Music degree in classical guitar at UBC, then moved to Italy where he furthered his voice studies with Carlo Bergonzi, and met his future wife, soprano Viviana Maria di Calro, who will also be joining him on this program. For tickets and more information, see the Arts Events page.
