Consistency and visual integrity
The Douglas College branding program is designed to ensure that our communications reflect the college with consistency to create an effective, distinctive and memorable brand.
The logo and the wordmark together constitute the primary logotype for Douglas College. The appropriate use and application of the new logotype enhances the college’s reputation, enables quick recognition, eliminates ambiguity and demonstrates our collective organizational purpose. As a College employee, your use of the logotype adds to the institution’s value and also comes with a level of responsibility. If you have specific questions about the use of the mark that are not covered here, please contact the Marketing and Communications department.
The following information describes our new brand identity elements in more detail and provides access to various versions of the mark. Enjoy and have fun using our new logotype!

Minimum space allocation
When applying the mark in a given context, pay close attention to the minimum space that is required for the mark. This will enable strong brand recognition and allow it to breathe amongst other graphic and typographic content. As seen in the diagram below, the minimum space unit is equivalent to '1 unit' of the 'D' shape/character in the logo.
