Library-owned videos and DVDs that are covered by Public Performance Rights (PPR) and Feature Film Public Performance Rights may be placed on reserve. Whenever possible the library attempts to buy titles that are licensed for Public Performance.
Films licensed for Home Use Only cannot go on reserve, but they may be signed out for private home viewing. These items are noted as such in the Local Note field of the
library catalogue record and on the case.
Videos and DVDs
not owned by the library may also be placed on reserve if they are covered by the Feature Film Public Performance license. To see if a film is covered under the license, please contact

Please fill out and print a
request form (.pdf) and bring it together with the item to the library.
Off-air taping of news and news commentary programs taped by
Client Learning Services (CEIT) may be requested for reserve, subject to some limitations. The instructor must provide proof of copyright clearance for any other types of taping (e.g. original recordings by students or instructors).
