CANSIM
CANSIM (Canadian Socio-economic database) is produced by Statistics Canada. This database contains over 700,000 time series of Canadian data on national accounts, financial institutions, corporate finance, government, population, labour, prices, construction, investment, trade, travel and industry.

Canadian statistics and census data.
NOTE: E-STAT will be archived on June 30, 2012. It will remain accessible as is until June 30, 2013, but its content will no longer be updated. It will be discontinued July 1, 2013. We encourage you to start using the free CANSIM database and to visit the census portal for timely information.

This US Dept. of Justice agency gives statistics on crimes, criminal offenders, the justice system etc. Includes the Sourcebook of Criminal Justice Statistics  with numerous statistical tables.

Bureau of Labour Statistics
The main US Federal agency that is responsible for collecting information on labour economics and statistics. Contains an easy-to-use topical index.

United States Census Bureau
A source of social, demographic, and economic information collected by the federal government.
