Welcome to the Late Summer Orientation Event Page!
Important Announcement:
We have reached maximum capacity for all three Orientation dates. Therefore, registration for the Late Summer Orientation is now CLOSED.
If you did not get your registration in before the closure, we apologize for the inconvenience, and offer the following alternatives:
- Services such as the Campus Bookstore, Student ID and UPass generation are now open, and can be accessed on weekdays throughout the month of August.
- An Online Orientation website (dougorient.ca) has been created, to provide students with much of the same information available at the 'live' events.
- Campus tours will be available during the first week of classes. Details will be posted here before classes begin.
When is Late Summer Orientation?:
We have reached maximum capacity for all three Orientation dates. Therefore, registration for the Late Summer Orientation is now CLOSED.
When is Late Summer Orientation?:
- (CLOSED) Wednesday, August 24th: 8:15am-4:00pm (David Lam Campus (Coquitlam)
- (CLOSED) Saturday, August 27th: 8:15am-4:00pm (New Westminster Campus)
- (CLOSED) Wednesday, August 31st: 8:15am-4:00pm (New Westminster Campus)
* Note: the material covered at each event is identical -- so you only need to attend one.
* Registration closes 24 hours prior to the event. If you did not register in advance, you can sign up on site at the Registration tent.
Late Summer Orientation will be an opportunity for you to:
- Meet new friends and current students at Douglas College
- Buy your textbooks
- Get your student ID card**
- Get your U-Pass
- Get your parking pass
- Tour the college
- Meet instructional faculty members from your academic faculty
- Get involved in clubs, organizations and activities on campus
- Ask questions, get answers!
**Students who wish to recieve their Student ID cards at Late Summer Orientation must:
- Bring at least one piece of government-issued photo ID.
- Know their Student ID number

Parents & Partners
If you have a parent or partner who would also like to attend an Orientation program, please note that a special event is being planned specifically for them, in September. More information about this event will be published here, in the next few weeks.
Important Details
*LSO is a full day event. Students are discouraged from attending for a portion of the event and will not have access to all services if they do.

*Lunch will be provided for pre-registered students. Please note that if you plan on bringing a parent or partner, an event is planned for them in September 2011. More information to follow.
