March 9, 2010 - Field narrowed to 10 finalists in Douglas College video talent contest
After four months and nearly 100 entries, the field has been narrowed to 10 finalists in the Doug's Got Talent video contest.
Starting in November, Douglas invited current and future students to submit a two-minute video of their talent for the chance to win one of three top prizes of a year's free tuition. A selection committee of employees and students narrowed down the entries to 10 finalists earlier this month. Now, it's up to the public to decide which of the finalists will win the $4,000 prizes with an online vote.
"Douglas students are diverse, talented and hard-working. Their desire to succeed, their passion and their curiosity inspire everyone who teaches and works here," says Scott McAlpine, President of Douglas College.
"The Doug's Got Talent video contest puts these talented students front and centre."
Voting is open to the public and runs from March 8-31. See the top ten videos and cast your vote at douglascollege.ca/talent
