Cleaning Duties
- sweeping
- mopping
- cleaning washrooms, stockrooms, coolers, and loading dock
- cleaning dishwasher mats
- sorting and packaging items to recycle
- changing and sanitizing garbage containers
- wiping kitchen counters and walls
Salad Bar Preparation and Related Duties
- setting up and breaking down the salad bar
- maintaining the salad bar
Basic Food Preparation (may be included based on student suitability)
- washing, peeling, and slicing a variety of vegetables and fruits
- portioning and wrapping individual food items
Customer Service (may be included based on student suitability)
- portioning and serving hot meals
- assisting at the deli bar
Safety and Sanitation Workshops
- learning basic safety rules and sanitation procedures in food service industry
