Communications Certificate

If you want to get started on a career in communications or public relations, or if you are already working and want to upgrade your education, the Certificate in Communications program from Douglas College is a great choice.

This 30-credit Certificate in Communications program can be completed in just two semesters (with full-time study). You’ll get hands-on instruction in a mix of spoken and written communications courses, and choose from relevant courses in other departments (such as sociology, philosophy and modern languages). You’ll graduate with a solid foundation for a career in communications or further education in a variety of fields.

Further education

If you decide you want to continue your studies, you can complete one additional year of study in communications and other arts courses to earn an Associate of Arts Degree with a specialization in Communications.

You can also transfer to UBC, SFU or another university, as many of the courses in the certificate program are university-transferable.
