Courses
Many Computing Science and Information Systems (CSIS) courses are hands-on. You'll learn the theory, but you'll also get the confidence that only comes from doing it, for real.
With courses in programming, information systems, networking, software applications and more, you acquire a diverse skill set you can use in many careers.
CSIS courses are offered at both Douglas College campuses - the New Westminster Campus and the David Lam Campus in Coquitlam.
Some courses are open to students not registered in the CSIS Program.
Please check with the Program Coordinator or contact an Academic Advisor if you have any questions.

Hardware and Software Information
All courses in this program require the use of an IBM PC or a compatible computer. The minimum standard is a Duo core computer with 2 gigabytes of RAM. If you are looking for more information about selecting a new computer, especially to be compatible with the Windows Vista or Windows 7, visit http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/default.asp.
Many of the CSIS courses use Microsoft Windows XP Professional and Microsoft Office 2007 Professional Edition. You may want to consult a software vendor for educational pricing on the above products. Microsoft offers very good discounts to post-secondary students in purchasing its software products.
