This program is designed for those who are supporting individuals with a developmental disability to live, work and participate in their communities. New and seasoned professionals will gain an appreciation of the skills needed to support individuals to be actively involved in all aspects of their lives.

Course Components include: Values and Ethics; Current services and how did we get here; Working with families; Support networks; Individual and person-centred planning; Personal care, values, dignity and trust; Behaviour and communication; Self-help skills and supported employment; Role of the support worker and the support team.

60 hours - one day per week for 10 weeks.
