The handbook Prepared Childbirth - The Family Way will be provided. With this handbook and these classes as a stimulus and commitment to further preparation, parents will be well prepared for labour, birth and early postpartum.

| Reunion Class | Come together with those from your prenatal class and share your experience of birth and parenting. An opportunity for sharing the joys of parenting as well as addressing any questions you may have. |
Prenatal In-A-Day
We know you will find this day very helpful as you consider your choices and options for pregnancy, labour, birth and early parenting. It is important to know that this class does not cover the same content to the same depth as the Prenatal Class Series that is recommended for first-time parents. It will provide basic information and skills you will need, and you are encouraged to practice at home. The handbook Prepared Childbirth - The Family Way will be provided.
This day will include but not be limited to information about the following:
- Expectations and concerns of late pregnancy
- Brief overview of exercise and relaxation
- Labour and birth - phases and stages
- Comfort measures
- Unexpected outcomes including caesareans
- Medical options and practices - risks, benefits, alternatives
- Immediate postpartum for mother and baby
- Infant feeding
- Celebrating parenthood - joys and challenges
Course Fees & Information
Prenatal Class Series/Reunion Class
Fee: $160/couple
Prenatal In A Day
Fee: $125/couple
When registering for your prenatal class:
- Know your due date.
- Completion of the program should be approximately one month before your due date.
If the course fee is a problem for you, please tell the registration clerk as funding assistance may be available.
