Weight Training Instructor Course
This course is designed to provide practical teaching skills required to design basic programs for yourself and others. Some personal weight training experience is recommended.

Personal Training Instructor Course
Personal Trainer - A term used to describe professionals who work with clients to improve their physical and mental well being. Some trainers have a four-year Kinesiology degree, others have spent a lifetime working out in a gym. This 32-hour course gives personal trainers the minimum requirement to be registered with the BCRPA upon successful completion of the Personal Trainer exam. This course should be supplemented by the Nutrition Knowledge and Techniques in Fitness Assessment courses. The Personal Trainer course covers both marketing and business concepts together with fitness assessment, health screening, risk management, program design and ethics.
NSCA's Essentials of Personal Training textbook is included in course fee.

Physiology of Aging and Exercise Adaptions (Third Age)
Fitness isn’t just for youngsters! Aging is a process of human development that happens to all of us. Physical changes are inevitable. This course will explore the current students on the physiological, psychological and social changes, associated with aging. How these physical changes affect our health, flexibility, muscles, core stability, cardiorespiratory and body composition in the aging adult, will be discussed in detail. Fitness professionals needing to learn safe and simple tools for adapting their programs for mature clients and participants.
Practical tests will be provided to assist the leader in designing safe and individualized programs.
This course is recommended for the fitness professionals who work closely with the adult aging population (ages 45-75), or for anyone interested in the latest in aging for their own personal growth.

Approved for 18 BCRPA credits. BCRPA will recognize this course as Third Age Specialty.

Part 1 - Pre and Post Natal Theory Online
This certification is designed to prepare both fitness professionals and other healthcare providers (chiropractors, physiotherapists, massage therapists etc.) to work with the pre & post natal population.

Part 2 - Pre and Post Natal Practical Online
Prerequisite: In order to become certified as a Pre & Post Natal Fitness Consultant you must have a current certification as a weight trainer, fitness instructor or personal trainer. Massage therapists, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and other health professionals may also attend for continuing education credits but do not qualify to complete the certification.
Approved for six BCRPA credits and four Can Fit Pro credits. Part 2 can also be used for CED credits if you are already Pre and Post Natal certified. In order to complete your certification you are rquired to complete a take home exam and submit a video for your practical evaluation
