Program News

Students who are returning to Douglas College to complete post-basic studies and those who wish to apply to the diploma program from other training institutions must: submit a work history form (pdf) documenting their field experience which also includes professional references; provide proof of an approved Early Childhood Education training (licence); and may participate in a personal interview with the ECE Coordinator.  

Post-basic transfer students are encouraged to apply in person as early as possible to facilitate review and processing of their documentation and course registration.  Post-basic students should apply by August 1st for entry to the program.
