Step into a great career in financial services

The Financial Services Diploma is an approved course of studies geared to the student who is interested in a career in the Banking and Investment industry. The program was developed in consultation with industry employers and provides skills that have been deemed as essential for anyone considering a career with them.

The program, unlike others in this sector, contains industry-developed courses. Two courses, Financial Services and Products and Fundamentals of Personal Finance were developed by, and provided through, the Institute of Canadian Bankers. The Canadian Securities course is provided in conjunction with the Canadian Securities Institute and is mandatory for employment in the industry.

Financial Services is a growth sector which actively recruits college graduates to meet the demand for Financial planning and investment professionals to service the enormous wealth that will be inherited by the current generation of "baby boomers" who are now beginning to retire.

Graduates of the program are hired by financial institutions as Account Managers/Personal Banking Officers. Demand for graduates has been increasing and the Banking and Investment industry offers exciting careers with opportunities for growth and advancement.
