Study options
The HCSW Certificate program is a combination of two other well-respected programs: the Health Care Assistant Certificate program (formerly Home/Support Resident Care Attendant Citation) and the Community Mental Health Worker Citation program.
Because of its unique structure, you can choose from three study options and credentials:
- the 3-semester Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) Certificate; or
- the 2-semester Health Care Assistant (HCA) Certificate; or
- the 1-semester Community Mental Health Worker (CMHW) Citation
If you have already completed either the Health Care Assistant Certificate (formerly Home Support/Resident Care Attendant Citation) or the Community Mental Health Worker Citation, you can upgrade to earn the full Health Care Support Worker Certificate.
For more information on study and program entry options, see Ways to study.
