Marketing Management

If you are looking to start or build on a career in business and marketing, Marketing Management is an excellent option. You'll take courses that emphasize practical marketing skills using lectures, case studies, films and simulated business-world exercises. You'll graduate from the Marketing Management program with a solid general business education, with specific job skills in customer relations, selling, advertising, marketing research and management.

Marketing Management Citation

This flexible five-course, 15 credit citation is designed for people who are currently employed in business and want to gain or update specific marketing job skills, or for those want to get started in the field of marketing. You can start classes in either September (Fall semester) or January (Winter semester). The citation can be completed on a part-time basis. For more detailed information, see the College Calendar.

Marketing Management Certificate

This two-semester, 30 credit program is designed for part-time students, mature students or students in other programs. It can be completed in one year (full-time study). You can start classes in either September (Fall semester) or January (Winter semester.) The Certificate can be completed on a full- or part-time basis. Most graduates find entry-level marketing-related positions in a variety of businesses. For more detailed information, see the College Calendar.

Marketing Management Diploma

This two-year, 60 credit diploma program is designed for anyone who wants to gain a solid education in business and begin a career in sales and marketing. You can start classes in either September (Fall semester) or January (Winter semester). The Diploma can be completed on a full- or part-time basis.  Most graduates find entry-level management trainee positions in retailing, financial marketing, or industrial sales. How to apply

Before you apply for the Marketing Management program, make sure you meet the following admission requirements:

  1. Douglas College General Admission Requirements
  2. English 12 with a minimum grade of "C" or approved substitution
  3. Principles of Math 11 or equivalent is a prerequisite to many courses offered by the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration. Therefore it is strongly recommended that you check each individual course prerequisite and ensure that you have completed this Mathematics requirement prior to registration. Failure to comply with prerequisite requirements could result in course deregistration.
