Marie-Claire Chinniah French Book Award of Distinction

This annual book award will be presented to a Douglas College student who has demonstrated a high level of improvement in a French course. See the award description (pdf)

In this increasingly globalized economy, employers look highly upon candidates who can communicate in more than one language.  With the Modern Languages program at Douglas College, you can explore a new language and culture, build on your existing knowledge or get started on your way to a language-based career. Douglas offers beginner to advanced courses in five languages. You'll learn in a hands-on environment with experienced and enthusiastic instructors.

Note to mature students

  • If you wish to take only Modern Language courses and do not fulfill Douglas College general admission requirements, please contact the instructor of the language of your choice. You may be granted special status to allow you to enrol in the language course.
