Barrie Barrington

Barrie Barrington has taught at DC since 1984 as an instructor in private and class piano. From the fall of 1995 to May of 1997, Barrie was the convenor of the Douglas College music department.
Aside from his teaching duties, Barrie performs both solo and chamber music recitals and has performed concertos with several orchestras in the lower mainland area of BC. He is an active adjudicator and clinician throughout Western Canada.
He earned his B.Mus at Brandon U. and both his M. Mus and DMA at the University of British Columbia. While at UBC, he studied with the well-known pianist, Robert Silverman.
Barrie lives with his wife, Lori in the village of Ladner, BC which is located on the ocean just south of Vancouver.
