Kevin Barrington-Foote

Kevin Barrington-Foote, ARCT, BMus, MMus (British Columbia), has been teaching history and theory in the Music Department since 1974. Before joining the faculty at Douglas College, he had maintained an active piano and theory studio. In addition to his teaching duties, he has served a number ofadministrative terms and been involved in many college activities and committees.

His current musicological research interests are focused on the cultural life in New Westminster c.1900-1920. Other interests include critical thinking and computer technology in the undergraduate music history and theory curriculum. He is a member in good standing of the American Musicological Society, the College Music Society, and the BC Registered Music Teachers' Association.
