University Transfer
With the University Transfer (UT) program, you can start your music studies at Douglas, then transfer up to 60 credits into a university degree program, including a Bachelor of Music at UBC or UVic, or a Bachelor of Fine Arts at SFU.
The program includes private lessons in your chosen instrument or voice, as well as class piano, music theory and history classes, performing ensembles and electives.
Upon successful completion of all two-year program requirements at Douglas College, students will receive a Diploma in Performing Arts - Music.
It's smart to start your degree at Douglas. Here's why:
- Great teachers Our music instructors are active performers who are passionate about teaching. Plus, because of a high faculty-to-student ratio, you¿ll get more face time with your teachers.
- Affordable university-level courses You can save up to $4,000 by taking your first two years of courses at Douglas instead of a similar program at a university.
- Convenient location Douglas College's New Westminster campus is centrally located and just steps from the SkyTrain.
