Janine Lee was looking forward to finishing her practicum as a legal administrative assistant, but she never got the chance.
Instead, Lee was offered a job with the firm of Alexander Holburn Beaudin and Lang LLP less than three weeks after she first walked in the door.
"It happened so fast - it was really unexpected" says the 26-year-old Coquitlam woman. "It's been good for my self-esteem, knowing that I can bring something to the office."

Choose the program that is right for you
We offer a variety of educational options depending on your interests and needs. You can start with a one-year certificate in applied bookkeeping, administrative assistant, legal administrative assistant, or medical office assistant. If you want to continue your education you can transfer your credits to the Office Administration Diploma Program that can be completed with one additional year of study. Or, if you have some experience and are looking for a shorter program, our one-semester Citations may be best suited to your needs.
All of our office administration programs offer training in the latest software applications, keyboarding, administrative procedures, and business communications, as well as a range of interpersonal and employability skills that will make you an effective member of any office team.
A three-week work placement at the end of the Certificate programs allows you to put your theory into practice and gain valuable real-world work experience. Many of our graduates find full-time employment through this work placement.
