Health Career Institute for Aboriginal Learners

Totem pole

We invite you to join us for a free, hands-on two-day Psychiatric Nursing Institute for Aboriginal learners interested in:

  • holistic healing and health
  • helping others with emotional, spiritual, mental, physical, social and psychological issues
  • obtaining a professional diploma and/or degree
  • a fulfilling health-care career

What will happen at the Institute?

You will learn about Douglas College Psychiatric Nursing Programs and the profession of psychiatric nursing. You’ll get hands-on experience using our state-of-the-art nursing labs, simulation technology and interactive communication labs. Meet students and faculty in our programs at a panel presentation, and learn more in discussions with registered psychiatric nurses (RPN) who work in community and hospital settings with various areas of focus such as gerontology, forensics, addictions, children and adolescents.
