Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing
Douglas College's Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing is the province's first degree program in this field and can be completed in about four years.
The program is approved by the Provincial Government and the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of British Columbia (CRPNBC). At program completion you'll be eligible to apply to the CRPNBC to write the licensure exam and on successful completion apply for provincial nursing licensure. Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing
This program allows you to complete three years of course studies in Psychiatric Nursing at Douglas College, with options to complete your degree. The Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing program is designed to provide the graduate with specialized knowledge and skills to provide safe and comprehensive holistic care to individuals in the context of families, groups, and communities in a variety of mental health care settings. Each semester builds on foundation concepts and skills to prepare students to respond to the ever-changing health care needs of our society.
