"The Douglas College Stagecraft Program has tremendously exceeded my expectations! The hands-on curriculum, combined with the dynamic learning environment - formed by the mix of creative fellow students and inspiring teachers - was exceptional. I have experienced so much, made lasting friendships, and have a solid educational base. With all this, how could I fail to have a great career in the industry? Thanks Douglas!"

Kwynn Amber, Class of 2002

If you want a dynamic career in the entertainment industry, and have some fine arts or technical experience, the Stagecraft and Event Technology (SET) program may be the program you're looking for. This intensive, two-year diploma program is designed to provide a combination of academic and practical experience with courses and training in: Stage Lighting, Audio Techniques, Set Painting, Set Design, Computer Assisted Drafting, Stage Management, Stagecraft for Film/TV and History of Theatre.

The SET Program requires commitment from its students. People who excel in Stagecraft thrive on long hours, deadlines, and intensive hands-on work. In return, you are immersed in a dynamic, fast-paced, professional environment, with exposure to production pressures equal to those in the entertainment industry today.

If you are creative and disciplined, enjoy technical challenges, and like to work as part of a team, consider the SET Program at Douglas College.
