"The Douglas College Stagecraft program taught me a lot about the world of theatre and how things work. This program is good for-all: those that know a lot about theatre and those that know nothing of theatre. I entered the program from high school and had done quite a few productions there, but there was still a lot that I did not know. As long as you enter the program with an open mind and the willingness to learn you will go far."

Aimee Aimsley, Class of 2002

Douglas College's Stagecraft Program is a two-year, full-time program leading to a Diploma in Performing Arts Stagecraft. The Program provides pre-employment training, upgrading and transferability for students interested in a career within the entertainment industry. The majority of Stagecraft courses are transferable towards university study, so you also have the option of continuing your education to earn a degree.

Stagecraft courses are offered Monday through Friday, throughout the day and evening, with work often required on weekends.

PLEASE NOTE: The Stagecraft Program Requirements have changed.  Please refer to the Stagecraft Handbook 2011-2012 (PDF) for course descriptions and program requirements.
