What is New with Program Information

General Nursing

The Provincial government has confirmed that nursing students will be required to complete a BSc before they will be eligible to write RN exams. The new standard will be completely phased in by 2005. Students planning to apply to Nursing programs in BC from this point on need to be prepared for four years of study to get a credential.

Business Programs

Students must have English 12 (or satisfactory score on our Writing Assessment) and Math 11 (Algebra), each with a minimum grade of C for all business courses. See Faculty of Language, Literature and Performing Arts for exemptions to Douglas College writing assessment.

Associate of Arts Degree Limited Enrolment Program

Douglas College has developed a new Associate of Arts Degree Limited Enrolment Program for currently enrolled high school students.

To reduce the time it takes to complete an Associate of Arts Degree, and to improve student opportunities for transfer to university, this limited enrolment program means students have a better chance to get the courses they need at the appropriate stage of their program. Students will be able to complete their program within two years.

Since students in our limited enrolment programs receive priority registration, students in the Associate of Arts Degree Limited Enrolment Program will receive an early registration date, offering them more flexibility and opportunity to register in the courses and sections they need.

Further program information can be obtained from the college calendar.
