Emergency Notification System

At Douglas College, we take your personal safety on our campuses seriously, so we have a three-part emergency notification system to keep you connected and aware of developments during an emergency situation, whether you’re on or off our campuses.

The three parts to the system are:

DC Alerts

DC Alerts is our system for sending urgent information via text message, voicemail and email, which you can subscribe to from your myDouglas page.

DC Announce

DC Announce is a public announcement system for people who are on campus during an emergency. The DC Announce system can broadcast into many areas at either the New Westminster or David Lam campuses, including classrooms, labs, gymnasium, meeting rooms, office areas, stairwells, hallways, parkades and washrooms.

DC InfoLine (1 877 679 0823)

The DC InfoLine is a toll-free information line for students, employees and anyone else in the Douglas community to call for important messages and updates during an emergency.
