Ergonomics
Ergonomics is the science of adapting work processes and conditions to fit the physical capabilities of workers. Ergonomics is concerned with interactions among humans and other elements of a system (e.g. the tools, equipment, products, tasks, organization, technology and environment). WorkSafeBC offers resources to help prevent muskoskeletal injuries, including WorkSafe Sam - a "Stretch Prompter" for office workers.
Should you require an ergonomic assessment of your work station please contact Sandy McKinley, Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator.
