Campus Security
Douglas College Campus Security Services are provided, under contract, by the Paladin Security Group Ltd. Trained Security guards are on duty at our New Westminster and David Lam campuses, and select Training Centres, ready to respond to campus emergencies, requests for security assistance and concerns and complaints reported by the campus community.
Campus Security:
- Provides authorized access to campus facilities.
- Monitors and responds to all campus fire, intrusion and mechanical alarms.
- Provides First Aid services to the campus community.
- Investigates complaints, suspicious or disruptive persons, crimes in progress, criminal events.
- Monitors Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras strategically located on campus.
- Maintains lost and found property and responds to inquiries.
- Provides parking enforcement.
- Provides employee/student campus escort upon request.
- Provides extra coverage on pre-arranged request.
- Provides Incident Reports to College Administration.

Extra Coverage
Requests for security guards for special events, departmental activities, investigation interviews or other special requirements are to be pre-arranged by requesting Administrators through the campus based Manager, Facilities Services.
Campus Escort
Employees and students may arrange for an on-campus security escort (e.g. to vehicle in parkade/surface lot, within buildings or to perimeter of property) either by phoning Security or requesting in person at the Security Kiosk.
