About Us
The Facilities Services Department is responsible for planning and developing Douglas College facilities, operating related services and for the ongoing maintenance of the college and its equipment.
Facilities Services, which includes the Director's Office, is responsible for the overall operations including: Site Services, Evening and Weekend Administration, Bookstore, Purchasing, Printing, Parking, Physical Plant, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation Air Conditioning Systems), Health and Safety which includes WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Material Information System) and Contract Administration. In addition, Facilities Services is responsible for leasehold and improvements, project management and insurance.
The Department's goal is to maintain building, grounds, and equipment at a high operational level, and to provide students, faculty, and staff with a well maintained and pleasing campus environment.
