Typical Costs for One Semester (four months) at Douglas College
These are average costs as of September 2009. Students may spend less if they live very frugally. Students with dependants or a spouse would pay significantly higher costs. Tuition and book costs are based on a 100% courseload. Students taking fewer courses will pay less. Students in some programs such as General Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing will pay more for books in their first year and will pay more for supplies to cover the cost of uniforms, shoes, etc.. **$260.00 for the Douglas Student Union Health and Dental Plan is charged once per year in the Fall Semester. Students taking nine or more credits must pay this new fee. If you already have your own extended medical or dental coverage. If you want to opt out:
