Student Loans and Grants for full-time students
This program provides funding for education and living costs for students enrolled in at least a 60 percent course load (9 credits or more) in an eligible full-time post-secondary level program. Students with a permanent disability may appeal to study at a 40 percent course load. A list of eligible programs is available.
We recommend you apply two months or more before the start of your classes (as early as June for Fall Semester).

This program provides funding for educational costs for students enrolled in eligible programs and taking less than a 60 percent course load (between 3 and 8.5 credits in a semester. A list of eligible programs is available.
The Part-time Studies Application form is available at the Financial Aid Office or you can download and print it.
Apply at the Financial Aid Office. Your application will be checked for completeness and forwarded to StudentAid BC for processing. Processing time is six to eight weeks.
Adult Basic Education Student Assistance Program (ABESAP) provides financial assistance for educational costs for students in upgrading programs or courses. The application form is available in the Financial Aid Office or you can download and print it. Processing time is one to two weeks.

Entrance Scholarships:
A limited number of scholarships are available to students entering Douglas College in Fall Semester directly from a high school in the Metro Vancouver area. Students must have achieved a record of academic excellence in high school (a minimum 3.50 grade point average). Volunteer activities in the school and community will also be considered. Application forms are available to download and print from the Financial Aid website or at the Financial Aid Office.
Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships are available in Winter Semester to students who have completed a minimum of 12 graded credits at Douglas College with a 3.50 grade point average or higher. Funding is limited so not all students will receive scholarships. Apply on line.
Graduation Awards
A limited number of awards are available to students graduating from Douglas College in either February or June each year. The application form is available to download and print from the Financial Aid website or at the Financial Aid office.
Bursaries and Awards
Students enrolled in credit courses may apply for bursaries and awards each semester. Students must have a minimum semester grade point average of 2.00 or better for bursaries or better for bursaries (3.00 for awards), demonstrated financial need and must meet other criteria as determined by the donor of the award. Many awards are unrestricted and available to students in any program. Funding is limited so not all students will receive bursaries. Apply on-line.
