Tuition Fees Payment Deadlines
When are my tuition fees due?
At Douglas College students register one term/semester at a time and are responsible for paying tuition fees for that term by the applicable deadline date:
For Winter Semester 2012, there are three payment deadlines:
| First Deadline: | December 5, 2011 (November 28, 2011 for international students) Pay all fees for courses you are currently enrolled in to avoid deregistration of all courses. |
| Second Deadline: | December 14, 2011 All fees are due and payable to avoid deregistration of all unpaid courses. |
| Third Deadline: |
January 19, 2012 |
You must pay particular attention to fee payment deadline dates. Students who miss a fee payment deadline or make only a partial payment may be deregistered from all courses. It is your responsibility to reregister in your courses if you are deregistered.

Fee Deferral
If you are relying on student loan funding to pay for tuition and fees you may qualify for a fee deferral. Eligible students, who have been approved for student loan funding, may complete a fee deferral form to postpone payment until their student loan funding is available. An on-line fee deferral application is available until November 28, 2011 at https://banserv2.douglas.bc.ca/prod/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin?termtype=CRE
After November 28, 2011
Attach a copy of your Notification of Assessment letter to your fee deferral form and submit it to the Cashier's Office before the fee payment deadline. Sponsorship
A letter of authorization must be sent from your sponsor to the attention of Cathy Luder in the Finance Department, room 4740 - New Westminster Campus. The letter must indicate the period of time the sponsor is covering, what costs are being covered (tuition and/or books) and the amount of funding. This letter can be faxed to (604) 527-5555. All enquiries can be directed to Cathy Luder at (604)527-5374. This letter must be received before the fee payment deadline.
Scholarship/Bursary Recipients
If the funds are to be held in trust by Douglas College, send a copy of your notification of award letter to the attention of the Finance Department. The letter can be faxed to (604) 527-5555. All enquiries can be directed to Sandy Struthers at (604) 527-5428. This letter must be received before the fee payment deadline. If a donor requires verification of enrolment before releasing your funds, you need to obtain this proof from the Registrar's Office (Room 2700, New Westminster Campus or Room A1450, David Lam Campus in Coquitlam).
