Refund Policy

First-semester

  1. Withdraw a minimum of 5 (five) business days (Monday to Friday) prior to the first day of a semester will receive a 50% refund of tuition fees. Notification of withdrawal must be submitted in writing with your signature (letter or fax only - no email) to Douglas College International (1) 604-527-5516.
  2. Withdraw less than 5 (five) business days (Monday to Friday) before start of semester no refund.
  3. Withdraw completely because of extraordinary reasons may submit an explanation with proof to the Office of the Registrar for consideration of a full refund. Students should contact Douglas College International for assistance in this matter.
  4. Withdraw from some, but not all, courses either prior to the start of a semester or after the start of the semester will receive no refund, as the tuition fees for the first 12 credits are non-refundable.
  5. Make course changes (drops/adds during Week One of the semester will be subject to additional fees).
Students may be able to defer (move tuition to the next semester) their first semester due to extraordinary/unforeseen circumstances. They should submit an explanation with supporting documentation to Douglas College International for assistance and consideration.
