Homestay

outside New Westminster Campus

Douglas College has an excellent "Homestay Program" which offers international students the opportunity to live with a Canadian family while studying at Douglas College. All of our families have been carefully screened by the homestay staff, and are interested in sharing their home with an international student.

Living with a Canadian homestay family provides international students with many benefits:

  • opportunity to improve their English skills by using English on a daily basis
  • chance to learn about Canadian culture and lifestyle
  • opportunity to enrich the lives of Canadian families by sharing their own culture with a family

How to Apply

  1. Carefully read General Information and fill out the Homestay Application Form
  2. Pay the $150 application fee (non-refundable)

Please make bank draft or cheque payable to "Douglas College".

Please return the application to the Centre for International Education at least one month prior to your arrival.
