Writing Help

poster[1]
Watch this short presentation
to learn more about our online peer writing reviews.

Online tutors are trained as informed readers and can give you suggestions to improve your writing.

However, they are neither editors, nor instructors. They use examples to explain errors, and they provide feedback, but the changes you make are your choice. When you use our service, you agree to take responsibility for the authenticity of your paper.

The online tutoring request form is available here beginning the second week of classes. To submit your paper and ask an online tutor to review your writing, please fill out the request form.

Tips and Guidelines

  • Requests for online tutoring may be submitted 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
  • Please limit your online requests to two per week.
  • Online tutors generally reply within 48 hours. We recommend that you submit your paper at least three days before the due date so that you have time to revise your paper once you get feedback.
  • An email from an online tutor may be diverted to your SPAM folder.
  • If you have trouble submitting your request, email onlinetutor@douglascollege.ca to let us know.

We protect the confidentiality of all personal information and writing submitted to the Learning Centre.
